When Jules talks about Sauvignon Blanc, clouds part and celestial choirs sing. This is the wine Jules loves.
Jules loves this wine because it is so expressive of the site where it’s grown. Our Sauvignon Blanc has twice won Champion Sauvignon Blanc trophy at the Air New Zealand Wine Awards - possibly a reasonable feat.
A delightful light lime colour, this wine shows evolving aromas of passionfruit, citrus, jalapeno pepper and currant leaf. Rich flavours of tropical and citrus fruits on the palate are complemented by fresh herbaceous notes. With its well defined backbone of acid this mouthful of goodness rolls out to a long dry finish. A distincltly Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.

The 2011 Sauvignon harvest in Marlborough provided some fantastic aromatics. Fruit for this wine was grown in the Hawkesbury, Lower Wairau & Awatere Valley sub regions of Marlborough. Each fruit parcel is chosen for its specific contribution to the aroma, flavour and structure in the resultant blend. The grapes were harvested, pressed and cold settled over a period of 48 hours. After racking off juice lees, a long, cool fermentation with selected yeast strains took place. Post fermentation the components were blended, stabilised and bottled with a screwcap closure to retain freshness.
